R. Tudur Jones y "nutter" treisgar

Soniais ar y blog wythnos diwethaf (fan yma) am gefnogaeth agored R. Tudur Jones i Gymdeithas yr Iaith. Annodd yw denu cefnogaeth 'pwysigion parchus' i ymgyrchoedd gwleidyddol radical heddiw ac nol yn y 60au roedd hi'n fwy o beth byth i RTJ ddod allan yn gyhoeddus o blaid Cymdeithas yr Iaith. Yn ôl y disgwyl nid oedd cefnogaeth eofn Dr. Tudur i Gymdeithas yr Iaith at ddant pawb - dyma rannu ambell frawddeg o ddau lythyr y dois ar eu traws yn yr archifau heddiw yn ffieiddio Dr. Tudur am fynegi cefnogaeth i'r Gymdeithas.

"I feel many of your sort are nutters... you don't have Wales behind you. This is a fine young man [Carlo] and should be left to feel happy."
at Dr. Tudur gan S. Llewellyn Rees, Sheffield, 4.1.69

Ac yna y gair mwy difrifol hwn:

"I read with a sense of shame and horror of your incitement to a mob at Penmachno [rali CYIG] to violence, disaffection and disloyalty. As one charged with the training of disciples of the Price of Peace [yn rhinwedd swydd RTJ fel Prifathro Bala-Bangor], you have brought shame on our church, beside yielding encouragement to those evil forces which are seeking to rend our beloved Wales apart. May I beg of you to consider your position and if you must be disloyal both to God and your country, at least resign from the position you hold. I shall pray for you."
at Dr. Tudur gan D. Ll. Rhys Hughes, Penfro, 4.1.1969

Yn wyneb y fath wrthwynebiad ffiaidd gellid gwerthfawrogi safiad proffwydol Dr. Tudur fwy byth.
